Do You Hear What I Hear?

By: Joyce C. Lock

And Moses spake before the Lord, saying, Behold, the children of Israel have not hearkened unto me; how then shall Pharaoh hear me, who am of uncircumcised lips?

And thou shalt say unto him, Hear now my words: If there be a prophet among you, I the LORD will make myself known unto him in a vision, and will speak unto him in a dream. If thou afflict them in any wise, and they cry at all unto me, I will surely hear their cry; And I charge your judges, saying, Hear the causes between your brethren, and judge righteously between every man and his brother, and the stranger that is with him.

Ye shall not respect persons in judgment; but ye shall hear the small as well as the great; ye shall not be afraid of the face of man; for the judgment is God's: and the cause that is too hard for you, bring it unto me, and I will hear it. And all the people shall hear, and fear, and do no more presumptuously.

Then hear thou in heaven thy dwelling place, and forgive, and do, and give to every man according to his ways, whose heart thou knowest; (for thou, even thou only, knowest the hearts of all the children of men).

And he said, Hear thou therefore the word of the LORD: I saw the LORD sitting on his throne, and all the host of heaven standing by him on his right hand and on his left. If my people, which are called by my name, shall humble themselves, and pray, and seek my face, and turn from their wicked ways; then will I hear from heaven, and will forgive their sin, and will heal their land.

Happy are thy men, and happy are these thy servants, which stand continually before thee, and hear thy wisdom.

Again he said, Therefore hear the word of the LORD; I saw the Lord sitting upon his throne, and all the host of heaven standing on his right hand and on his left.

I will shew thee, hear me; and that which I have seen I will declare; Hear attentively the noise of his voice, and the sound that goeth out of his mouth. I will hear what God the LORD will speak: for he will speak peace unto his people, and to his saints: but let them not turn again to folly.

Mine eye also shall see my desire on mine enemies, and mine ears shall hear my desire of the wicked that rise up against me. He that planted the ear, shall he not hear? he that formed the eye, shall he not see?

All the kings of the earth shall praise thee, O LORD, when they hear the words of thy mouth. When their judges are overthrown in stony places, they shall hear my words; for they are sweet. (Keep thy foot when thou goest to the house of God, and be more ready to hear, than to give the sacrifice of fools: for they consider not that they do evil.) Let us hear the conclusion of the whole matter: Fear God, and keep his commandments: for this is the whole duty of man.

And in that day shall the deaf hear the words of the book, and the eyes of the blind shall see out of obscurity, and out of darkness. And thine ears shall hear a word behind thee, saying, This is the way, walk ye in it, when ye turn to the right hand, and when ye turn to the left. And the eyes of them that see shall not be dim, and the ears of them that hear shall hearken.

When the poor and needy seek water, and there is none, and their tongue faileth for thirst, I the LORD will hear them, I the God of Israel will not forsake them.

Let all the nations be gathered together, and let the people be assembled: who among them can declare this, and shew us former things? let them bring forth their witnesses, that they may be justified: or let them hear, and say, It is truth. And it shall come to pass in that day, I will hear, saith the LORD, I will hear the heavens, and they shall hear the earth; And the earth shall hear the corn, and the wine, and the oil; and
they shall hear Jezreel.

Hear the word of the LORD, ye children of Israel: for the LORD hath a controversy with the inhabitants of the land, because there is no truth, nor mercy, nor knowledge of God in the land.

Thus saith the LORD of hosts; Let your hands be strong, ye that hear in these days these words by the mouth of the prophets, which were in the day that the foundation of the house of the Lord of hosts was laid, that the temple might be built. And I will strengthen the house of Judah, and I will save the house of Joseph, and I will bring them again to place them; for I have mercy upon them: and they shall be as though I had not cast them off: for I am the LORD their God, and will hear them.

And I will bring the third part through the fire, and will refine them as silver is refined, and will try them as gold is tried: they shall call on my name, and I will hear them: I will say, It is my people: and they shall say, The LORD is my God.

If ye will not hear, and if ye will not lay it to heart, to give glory unto my name, saith the LORD of hosts, I will even send a curse upon you, and I will curse your blessings: yea, I have cursed them already, because ye do not lay it to heart.

What I tell you in darkness, that speak ye in light: and what ye hear in the ear, that preach ye upon the housetops.

The queen of the south shall rise up in the judgment with this generation, and shall condemn it: for she came from the uttermost parts of the earth to hear the wisdom of Solomon; and, behold, a greater than Solomon is here. Who hath ears to hear, let him hear.

But blessed are your eyes, for they see: and your ears, for they hear. For verily I say unto you, That many prophets and righteous men have desired to see those things which ye see, and have not seen them; and to hear those things which ye hear, and have not heard them. Then shall the righteous shine forth as the sun in the kingdom of their Father. Who hath ears to hear, let him hear.

And he called the multitude, and said unto them, Hear, and understand: And Jesus answered him, The first of all the commandments is, Hear, O Israel; The Lord our God is one Lord: And other fell on good ground, and sprang up, and bare fruit an hundredfold. And when he had said these things, he cried, He that hath ears to hear, let him hear. And he answered and said unto them, My mother and my brethren are these which hear the word of God, and do it.

And Herod said, John have I beheaded: but who is this, of whom I hear such things? And he desired to see him. And there came a voice out of the cloud, saying, This is my beloved Son: hear him.

Abraham saith unto him, They have Moses and the prophets; let them hear them. And he said unto him, If they hear not Moses and the prophets, neither will they be persuaded, though one rose from the dead. And the Lord said, Hear what the unjust judge saith.

But when ye shall hear of wars and commotions, be not terrified: for these things must first come to pass; but the end is not by and by.

Verily, verily, I say unto you, The hour is coming, and now is, when the dead shall hear the voice of the Son of God: and they that hear shall live. Marvel not at this: for the hour is coming, in the which all that are in the graves shall hear his voice.

I can of mine own self do nothing: as I hear, I judge: and my judgment is just; because I seek not mine own will, but the will of the Father which hath sent me. He that is of God heareth God's words: ye therefore hear them not, because ye are not of God.

To him the porter openeth; and the sheep hear his voice: and he calleth his own sheep by name, and leadeth them out. All that ever came before me are thieves and robbers: but the sheep did not hear them. And other sheep I have, which are not of this fold: them also I must bring, and they shall hear my voice; and there shall be one fold, and one shepherd.

And many of them said, He hath a devil, and is mad; why hear ye him?

My sheep hear my voice, and I know them, and they follow me: And if any man hear my words, and believe not, I judge him not: for I came not to judge the world, but to save the world. He that loveth me not keepeth not my sayings: and the word which ye hear is not mine, but the Father's which sent me.

Ye men of Israel, hear these words; Jesus of Nazareth, a man approved of God among you by miracles and wonders and signs, which God did by him in the midst of you, as ye yourselves also know: Therefore being by the right hand of God exalted, and having received of the Father the promise of the Holy Ghost, he hath shed forth this, which ye now see and hear.

For Moses truly said unto the fathers, A prophet shall the Lord your God raise up unto you of your brethren, like unto me; him shall ye hear in all things whatsoever he shall say unto you. And it shall come to pass, that every soul, which will not hear that prophet, shall be destroyed from among the people. This is that Moses, which said unto the children of Israel, A prophet shall the Lord your God raise up unto you of your brethren, like unto me; him shall ye hear.

I have no greater joy than to hear that my children walk in truth. Blessed is he that readeth, and they that hear the words of this prophecy, and keep those things which are written therein: for the time is at hand.
