Learning Knowledge

By: Joyce C. Lock

Some study to know all about Satan, out of fear.
Other's fear of not standing before God 'perfect', or
confidence in their own capabilities brought them to study
to know facts about God instead of 'knowing God'.

There is a way that seemeth right unto man, but the end thereof is destruction. Studying with man's wisdom, not the wisdom that comes from God only (lean not to thine own understanding) ... such dead works will pass away.

For I bear them record that they have a zeal of God, but not according to knowledge. For they being ignorant of God's righteousness, and going about to establish their own righteousness, have not submitted themselves unto the righteousness of God. For Christ is the end of the law for righteousness to every one that believeth.

Now the Spirit speaketh expressly, that in the latter times some shall depart from the faith ... Forbidding to marry, and commanding to abstain from meats, which God hath created to be received with thanksgiving of them which believe and know the truth. For every creature of God is good, and nothing to be refused, if it be received with thanksgiving: For it is sanctified by the word of God and prayer. If thou put the brethren in remembrance of these things, thou shalt be a good minister of Jesus Christ, nourished up in the words of faith and of good doctrine, whereunto thou hast attained.

My son, despise not the chastening of the Lord; neither be weary of his correction: For whom the Lord loveth he correcteth; even as a father the son in whom he delighteth.

Desire that ye might be filled with the knowledge of his will in all wisdom and spiritual understanding; That ye might walk worthy of the Lord unto all pleasing, being fruitful in every good work, and increasing in the knowledge of God; Strengthened with all might (in the inner man), according to his glorious power, unto all patience and longsuffering with joyfulness.

To learn knowledge from God is far superior to man's teachings.
Come to God in full confidence and faith as a child.
Trade your knowledge for His. His ways are higher than ours.
And, not all the works of Jesus were written.

As it is written in the prophets, they shall be all taught of God ...
John 6:45

The fear of the LORD is the beginning of knowledge ...

When we give our full heart, soul, and mind to love God, whatever His next step of instruction may be ... we begin to learn in depths what God is really like, what He intended in His written word, how to live in the world without being like it, and how to overcome the storms of life. The more we choose to love God supremely, the more He reveals Himself to us. He'll walk with us, talk with us, guide us in comparing scripture - leading us to His desire for whatever we're seeking, the words come to life and speak to our hearts, and we realize that God isn't dead! He still walks and talks with His own, stays by our side, holds us in the palm if His hand, and loves us in all the ways He loved the people of old! And with a love like that, we are no longer captive to doctrines planted by Satan.

The Kingdom of God is within you; letting God sit on His throne in your heart, soul, and mind. Then as God loves us, we're to love each other (loving the things He loves). And to know the love of Christ, which passeth knowledge, that ye might be filled with all the fullness of God ... because 'love' is who God is (I Jn. 4:8).

The law was a schoolmaster to teach us to love. When walking in the Spirit, we're free from the law. What Would Jesus Do? Or, what would the Spirit do? Don't question, "Is it law?" Perfect love casteth out all fear. Instead, ask yourself, "Is it love?" Against love, there is no law and love never fails.

________________________________________________

Thou shalt love the Lord thy God with all thy heart, and with all thy soul, and with all thy mind. This is the first and great commandment. And the second is like unto it, Thou shalt love thy neighbor as thyself. On these two commandments hang all the law and the prophets.

By this we know that we love the children of God, when we love God, and keep his commandments. For this (His commandments) is the love of God ... and his commandments are not grievous (they will meet the need of your heart).

My son, if thou wilt receive my words, (not what man/ doctrines/ or other languages teach) and hide my commandments (believe God when He reveals something to you) with thee; So that thou incline thine ear (listen for God) unto wisdom, and apply thine heart (the words He touches your heart with) to understanding; Yea, if thou criest (tell God what you need to know in your situation) after knowledge, and liftest up thy voice (ask) for understanding; If thou seekest her as silver (no answer will do except the one you hear from God), and searchest for her as for hid treasures (God is His own best commentator, written in similitudes - definitions of Biblical words are hidden throughout the Bible); Then shalt thou understand the fear of the Lord, and find the knowledge of God. For the Lord giveth wisdom (God will teach you): out of his mouth cometh knowledge and understanding (when God speaks to you). He layeth up sound wisdom for the righteous: he is a buckler to them that walk uprightly. (Satan can't defeat God, get your instruction from God.) He keeps the paths of judgment, and preserves the way of his saints. Then shalt thou understand righteousness, and judgment, and equity; yea, every good path.

When wisdom entereth into thine heart (true wisdom will touch your heart), and knowledge is pleasant unto thy soul (your spirit will rejoice); Discretion shall preserve thee (following God's direction), understanding (that comes from God only) shall keep thee (make every path perfect): My son, forget not my law; but let thine heart keep my commandments (the instruction God speaks to your heart): For length of days, and long life, and peace, shall they add to thee. (Want to live longer? Exercise your soul.) Let not mercy (love others as God has loved you) and truth forsake thee (Truth will set you free. If you're not free to follow God, it isn't the truth.): bind them about thy neck (Do we seek praises of men or of God? My yoke is easy, my burden light.); write them upon the table of thine heart (believe, when God ministers to your heart): So shalt thou find favor and good understanding in the sight of God and man. (God's way will always prove victorious!)

Trust in the Lord with all thine heart; and lean not unto thine own understanding. In all thy ways acknowledge him, and he shall direct thy paths.
Be not wise in thine own eyes (Don't tell God what He believes. He won't be boxed into a corner.): fear the Lord (Wait until you've heard from Him.), and depart from evil (Don't speak evil of things you don't understand.). It shall be health to thy navel, and marrow to thy bones (healing promised).

Honor the Lord with thy substance (Use whatever God teaches you to help others in like situations.), and with the firstfruits of all thine increase (As your seed multiplies, continue to give the glory to God.): So shall thy barns (soul, family, church) be filled with plenty (whatever you have need of), and thy presses shall burst out with new wine (new tongues - Mk.16:17).

Happy is the man that findeth wisdom (God), and the man that getteth understanding (from Him). For the merchandise of it is better than the merchandise of silver, and the gain thereof than fine gold. She is more precious than rubies: and all the things thou canst desire are not to be compared unto her. Length of days is in her right hand; and in her left hand riches and honor. Her ways are ways of pleasantness, and all her paths are peace. She is a tree of life to them that lay hold upon her: and happy is every one that retaineth her.

My son, attend to my words (God will let you know which verses apply to the need of your heart); incline thine ear unto my sayings (whatever He reveals to you). Let not them depart from thine eyes (When God gives you a promise; stick it on your refrigerator, tack it to your dashboard, don't let Satan rob you with doubts. Don't forget it until God brings it to pass. He is faithful.): keep sound wisdom (Satan wouldn't ask you to do something good and God wouldn't ask you to do something that isn't love.) and discretion (The discretion of a man deferreth his anger; and it is his glory to pass over a transgression.): So shall they be life unto thy soul, and grace to thy neck. Then shalt thou walk in thy way safely, and thy foot shall not stumble.

When thou liest down, thou shalt not be afraid: yea, thou shalt lie down, and thy sleep shall be sweet. Be not afraid of sudden fear, neither of the desolation of the wicked, when it cometh (Seeing it is a righteous thing with God to recompense tribulation to them that trouble you.) For the Lord shall be thy confidence, and shall keep thy foot from being taken.

He came unto his own, and his own received him not. But as many as received him, to them gave he power to become the sons of God, even to them that believe on his name: (Buried with him in baptism, wherein also ye are risen with him through the faith of the operation of God, who hath raised him from the dead.) Which were born, not of blood, nor of the will of the flesh, nor of the will of man, but of God.

Except a man be born of water and of the Spirit, he cannot enter into the kingdom of God. That which is born of the flesh is flesh; and that which is born of the Spirit is spirit. Marvel not that I said unto thee, Ye must be born again. The wind bloweth where it listeth, and thou hearest the sound thereof, but canst not tell whence it cometh, and whither it goeth: so is every one that is born of the Spirit.

Whosoever is born of God doth not commit sin; for his seed remaineth in him: and he cannot sin, because he is born of God. Being born again, not of corruptible seed, but of incorruptible, by the word of God (word God speaks to you), which liveth and abideth for ever. (He isn't dead.)

By a new and living way, all things made new; put on the new man, sons of the Living God, which after God is created in righteousness and true holiness. Bishops of your own souls, the Spirit will guide you into all truth. And I John saw the holy city, new Jerusalem, coming down from God out of heaven, prepared as a bride adorned for her husband.

Will you marry God and let Him be your husband? To live a life of Victory - give God all your heart, soul, and mind. Could you be a lamb's wife and make yourself ready? I in them, and thou in me, that they may be made perfect in one as we are one; and that the world may know that thou hast sent me, and hast loved them, as thou hast loved me.

God only wants His throne back so He can love and dwell among us. Only He knows how to defeat Satan every time. The Kingdom of God comes not with observation. His temple is within YOU. He desires not yours, but a wonderful relationship with you. All things new, these words are faithful and true.

My meat is to do the will of him that sent me, and to finish his work. Therein will you also find life more abundantly. Verily, verily, I say unto you, He that believeth on me, the works that I do shall he do also; and greater works than these shall he do; because I go unto my Father. When ye therefore shall see the abomination of desolation, spoken of by Daniel the prophet, stand in the holy place, (whoso readeth, let him understand:).

But when ye shall see the abomination of desolation, spoken of by Daniel the prophet, standing where it ought not, (let him that readeth understand,) then let them that be in Judaea flee to the mountains: In those days, and in that time, saith the Lord, the children of Israel shall come, they and the children of Judah together, going and weeping: they shall go, and seek the Lord their God.

They shall ask the way to Zion with their faces thitherward, saying, Come, and let us join ourselves to the Lord in a perpetual covenant that shall not be forgotten. My people hath been lost sheep: their shepherds have caused them to go astray, they have turned them away on the mountains: they have gone from mountain to hill, they have forgotten their restingplace. All that found them have devoured them: and their adversaries said, We offend not, because they have sinned against the Lord, the habitation of justice, even the Lord, the hope of their fathers.

Behold, I will send you Elijah the prophet before the coming of the great and dreadful day of the Lord: And he shall turn the heart of the fathers to the children, and the heart of the children to their fathers, lest I come and smite the earth with a curse.

Also, thou son of man, the children of thy people still are talking against thee by the walls and in the doors of the houses, and speak one to another, every one to his brother, saying, Come, I pray you, and hear what is the word that cometh forth from the Lord. And they come unto thee as the people cometh, and they sit before thee as my people, and they hear thy words, but they will not do them: for with their mouth they shew much love, but their heart goeth after their covetousness. And, lo, thou art unto them as a very lovely song of one that hath a pleasant voice, and can play well on an instrument: for they hear thy words, but they do them not. And when this cometh to pass, (lo, it will come,) then shall they know that a prophet hath been among them. Ez. 33:30-33
