Revelations, A Study. section 3

By: Rev. Anthony Smith

Revelations a Study. section 3. Section 3 chapters,4:1 thru 5:14. John translated into the Throne room of God. No matter whom you may ask, you would probable get many different interpretations of the Book of Revelations. My attempt is to give you an insight into prophecy, spiritualism, parables and physical realizations in this book. In the first few verses in Chapter 4 we see a number of different things, 1. a door was opened in heaven 2. And immediately I was in the spirit 3. a throne was set in heaven 4. one sat on the throne. #1. is spiritual and physical. Just as when God opens up a door for you into areas of this world that were once closed to you and two physical, for Heaven is real. #2. is also both spiritual and physical, transfiguration from the body to spirit. It happened often in scripture. For example 2Ki 2:1 And it came to pass, when the LORD would take up Elijah into heaven by a whirlwind, that Elijah went with Elisha from Gilgal. Gen 5:24 And Enoch walked with God: and he was not; for God took him. #3. A Throne is physical. #4.The Lord God Almighty. Physical The 24 Elders and 24 Thrones. He saw four-and-twenty seats round about the throne, not empty, but filled with four-and-twenty elders, presbyters. The Twelve Deciples and 12 Leaders of the Church in Old Testimate Times. John sees a place of honour for them before the throne of God.[Presbytery The Bible (From Greek a—biblia, meaning "books", which in turn is derived from —byblos meaning "papyrus", from the ancient Phoenician city of Byblos which exported papyrus) is the sacred scripture of Christianity. The Old Testament, or Hebrew Bible. An elder of the congregation in the early Christian church. A bishop is an ordained person who holds a specific position of authority in any of a number of Christian churches. The Throne Room is described by John. This is physical. The Sea of Glass = Purity. The Rainbow represents the covenant between God and Noah. The four beasts full of eyes before and behind. The number represents the Four Gospels. Which are the basis of Gods Salvation for Man. 7. And the first beast was like a lion, (Courage) and the second beast like a calf (Safrifice), and the third beast had a face as a man (Wisdom), and the fourth beast was like a flying eagle (Strength). The eyes around and about represent all knowledge of not only of mankind but of self. Self evaluation; Matthew 7;5."Thou hypocrite, first cast out the beam out of thine own eye; and then shalt thou see clearly to cast out the mote out of thy brother's eye. 8.And the four beasts had each of them six wings about him; and they were full of eyes within: and they rest not day and night, saying, Holy, holy, holy, Lord God Almighty, which was, and is, and is to come. These are not the same as the four beasts as described in Daniel 7:2. Chapter 5:1-14. Verse 3. And no man in heaven, nor in earth, neither under the earth, was able to open the book, neither to look thereon. “no man” according to the flesh, alive, dead, translated or tranformed. in heaven, in earth, or under the earth The Lion of the tribe of Juda. Jesus. (Gen. 49:8 Judah, thou art he whom thy brethren shall praise: thy hand shall be in the neck of thine enemies; thy father' children shall bow down before thee. 9Judah is a lion' whelp: from the prey, my son, thou art gone up: he stooped down, he couched as a lion, and as an old lion; who shall rouse him up? 10The sceptre shall not depart from Judah, nor a lawgiver from between his feet, until Shiloh come; and unto him shall the gathering of the people be . 11Binding his foal unto the vine, and his ass' colt unto the choice vine; he washed his garments in wine, and his clothes in the blood of grapes: 12.His eyes shall be red with wine, and his teeth white with milk.). The Root of David, According to prophecy spiritual and not physical. Seven eyes = the seven Spirits of God. Seven horns = Crowns.(Power, Riches, Wisdom, Strength, Honour, Glory, Blessing) From the Hand of God. 7.And he came and took the book out of the right hand of him that sat upon the throne. Verse 10, a promise. Verse 13.And every creature which is in heaven, and on the earth, and under the earth, and such as are in the sea, and all that are in them, heard I saying, Blessing, and honour, and glory, and power, be unto him that sitteth upon the throne, and unto the Lamb for ever and ever. Prophecy.Phill. 2:10 That at the name of Jesus every knee should bow, of things in heaven, and things in earth, and things under the earth; 11And that every tongue should confess that Jesus Christ is Lord, to the glory of God the Father. Revelations is full of symbolism, we must compare scripture with scripture, especiall within the old testiment. end section 3.
