Under the bed

Under the bed

In the bedroom of anyone especially youngsters under the bed lie many things that could be valued as 'treasures' such as jewelery, money, and antiques or 'junk' such as a rotten banana peel, old used razors, and a faulty toy .
Each Saturday the person or his/her parent carries out the cleaning of the room and that hiding place may or may not be spared!
Any naughty and lazy ones seize this opportunity to turn this place into a waste bin!
Acts 2:17-18(KJV)
"And it shall come to pass in the last days, saith God, I will pour out of my Spirit upon all flesh: and your sons and your daughters shall prophesy, and your young men shall see visions, and your old men shall dream dreams:"
"And on my servants and on my handmaidens I will pour out in those days of my Spirit; and they shall prophesy:"
1 John 2:20(KJV)
"But ye have an unction from the Holy One, and ye know all things."
1 John 2:27(KJV)
"But the anointing which ye have received of him abideth in you, and ye need not that any man teach you: but as the same anointing teacheth you of all things, and is truth, and is no lie, and even as it hath taught you, ye shall abide in him."
In the first set of scriptures 'The last days' refers to the days of the new covenant and 'All flesh' signifies that there is no discrimination based on sex, age,or class!
Under the bed' of life, lies important prophecies, visions, and dreams concerning individual and collective destinies!
These are composed in the language of the Holy Spirit giving a glimpse into the purposes of God for mankind.
One or more of these make up what we have called in an earlier article 'the heavenly vision' .
Many of these lie 'under the bed' unknown or ignored or abandoned!
Because of this state of dormancy, many have questions in the heart like-
'Was it only an ordinary dream?'
'Is it too good to be true?'
'Am I good enough to fulfill it?'
'What if it's a hoax?'
'I've tried and failed,what can I do?'
'Does it really belong to me?'
'Does it really concern me?'
'Who will believe it?'
'Who will support me to make it a reality?'
'Can I have enough time for it?'
Whatever may be the question,Jesus Christ is the Answer!!!
In him alone can found relevant answers to any question that troubles the human mind.
Firstly, each one should have a personal relationship with him as one's personal Lord and Saviour(Acts 2:38)!
Secondly, each follower of Christ should be continually filled by the Holy Spirit 'to dream the dream'(Acts 2:39).
The Holy Spirit energises the Christian to overcome all inward and outward limitations in fulfilling 'the dream':
Zech.4:6(KJV)
"Then he answered and spake unto me, saying, This is the word of the LORD unto Zerubbabel, saying, Not by might, nor by power, but by my spirit, saith the LORD of hosts."
Thirdly, write down your 'dream' as revealed by the spirit of God(Hab.2:2).
Fourthly, focus on not on the 'dream',but on Jesus Christ as 'the Alpha and the Omega'(Rev.1:11) of one's 'dream'.
Fifthly, treat others and their 'dreams' with respect(Gal.2:7).
Sixthly, receive, appreciate, and encourage those God sends to help you fulfill your 'dream'(Rom.16).
Seventhly,do not be in a hurry:recognise and accept God's timing!(Hab.2:3)
Eighthly, accept that the total picture of one's calling is only and full known to God!
It is in 'the grey areas' of this picture of destiny that one needs to daily walk with God by faith(2 Cor.5:7).
These areas may later or never be revealed by God as he wills!(Deut.29:29).
Ninthly,do not despise 'the dream' if it is just secular indicating a new invention or innovation to make the world a better place to the glory of God!
Finally reach out 'under the bed',bring out 'the dream' and make it happen;then put the litter into a real trash can!
Philippians 4:13(KJV)
"I can do all things through Christ which strengtheneth me."
