The Unreached Peoples Prayer Profiles
Kenya
For more information see the Kenya profile.
The Republic of Kenya is located on the east African coast. Most of it's peoples live in the better watered plateaus of the south and west, as much of the north and east is desert.
Kenya gained independence from Britain in 1963, and has virtually been a one-party state for much of the time since then. It is now facing a period of dangerous instability, due to political unrest. There is freedom of religion in Kenya, and the present government is sympathetic to Christianity. Many Christians are in high positions, including the President. In Kenya, youth ministries are vital as over half of the population is under 15 years old.
