The Unreached Peoples Prayer Profiles
Central African Republic
For more information see the Central African Republic profile.
The Central African Republic is a landlocked state in Africa's geographical center. It varies geographically from tropical forest in the southwest to semi-desert in the northeast.
The republic has a one party military republic, gradually developing into a multi-party democracy since 1987.
Few countries have been better evangelized. There are now evangelical churches in nearly every tribe and district. However,
growth has outstripped the resources of churches to give adequate discipleship to new Christians. Many Christians are nominal, others are immature in their faith. The lack of Scriptures in local languages, low literacy, and the underlying but often unchallenged powers of darkness have all worked against real depth in Christian living.
